Greetings and salutations! Between earning my Masters in English and working on brand new stories, yours truly has been a busy bee. My latest project is a collection of stories I'm extending to novels featuring a Fairy Godmother turned detective who solves crimes in the land of fairy tales.

The first book, The Deadly Dressmaker, introduces the reader to Aryssa Thornhart, Fairy Godmother Sleuth who takes the case of a Dark Fairy/fashion designer mogul who is accused of murdering the teenaged princess she'd cursed in infancy. Assisting Miss Thornhart is Pepper Crimson, an eager young woman who dreams of becoming a lady detective herself, swarthy detective Tracker Marlowe, Aryssa's gruff bodyguard Dwarf, Irk Underbourne, and reformed Dwarven thief, Arbo Woldfoot. I hope to have The Deadly Dressmaker ready for publication by the end of 2020.

I've also recently published the contemporary novel, La Tormenta, under the nom de plume, Vera Colon. Under this persona, I hope to publish more contemporary stories that feature issues facing Hispanics in this country from politics to family dynamics. La Tormenta is the story of a family with secrets who hunker down together for a hurricane. Chaos ensues. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll get hungry. Check it out!
